KMVT Community Television honors Volunteer of the Year Rusty King at Celebration of Leaders 2008!Long-time volunteer Rusty King is honored yet again at Mountain View's annual event, Celebration of Leaders! Rusty King has been a proactive and invaluable volunteer at KMVT Community Television for the last 5 years, contributing hundreds of hours of service in every area of the station’s need. Rusty offers his multi-faceted talents to the station, with skills in community relations, building maintenance, customer service, and even interior decorating. Rusty understands the needs of the station and brings enthusiasm to even the least-desired volunteer projects. He has set-up, cleaned and painted our claymation camp edit rooms, organized office supplies and equipment, assisted engineers with community shows, and fixed odds and ends. In the office, he answers phones while greeting newcomers to the station. His upbeat spirit, witty humor and informative tidbits bring smiles to all. An entertainer by trade, Rusty has acted as Host and Floor Director for our annual Tree Lighting Celebration, where his charisma and people-skills shine. Possibly Rusty’s best characteristic is that he actually finds joy in volunteering and connecting with others. He does this with an unassuming nature. He truly gives unreservedly without expecting anything in return or even accepting anything in return. Rusty King’s dedicated contributions to the station have truly sustained the community spirit at KMVT Community Television. |
